The Site supervisor is to effectively ensure that all site activities are conducted safety and efficiently, consistent with company procedures, good practice and statutory legislation.
Key Objectives:
To assist the site management in all aspects of the following items, but not limited to:
- SHE – Safety, Health and Environment
- Programme
- Plant
- Labour
- Quality
- On time project delivery through personnel management
In all activities, ensure compliance with the Company Operating Procedures, Company Quality Assurance Procedures, Statutory Safety Legislation, good practice and our contractual termsTo read and understand the Company's site specific safety method statement and risk assessments and to and to ensure that its provisions are being effectively carriedEnsure all labour is adequately trained for the task and liaise with the SHE team Ensure RAMS / task briefings / lift plans / permit systems are in place and being worked to by operatives with particular emphasis being on the implementation of the necessary measures.To ensure that all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported no matter how minor they areEnsure plant, equipment and PPE are being provided, maintained and utilized as appropriate and in line with company procedures Ensure all employees are being put to work safely and carry out regular reviews of task managementManage and monitor the progress of the site activities and take action to ensure progressive deadlines are met in accordance with the programmeMonitor labour levels and engineering resource each task and keep to an effective and efficient level, liaising closely with the siteEnsure records are being kept and issued to the site management team for all VO/NCRDrive and deliver continual improvement on site Support the management team with management of specialist subcontractors g.
decker's, painters, welders.Ensure the site management team are kept informed f all day to day site issues and progress – Photo's to be taken on a regular basisTo ensure that any areas of the site in which the Company employees operate are suitably segregated and are maintained to ensure their safety and prevent trespass by other trades, the general public or visitorsEnsure that all site safety (File 3) and quality files (Bolt checks/Seversafe ) are complete and kept up to date.Provide support to the site management team and attend site meeting when requested /Ensure records are kept to protect the companies interests e.
piece counts, crane use / down time, delays, VO work.Comply with the Temporary Works procedure To ensure inspections of machinery, equipment and structures are being carried out regularly and to ensure that any defects discovered are remedied promptlyTo ensure delivery / collection forms are completed for all deliveries / collections of plant from site and that accompanying photos are taken and issued to the siteEnsure relevant site paperwork is complete and issued on a weekly basis to include – daily diaries and crane allocationEnsure that all hire equipment is stored safety and off hired in a timelyTo liaise between the site management team and foremen to ensure material deliveries are ordered to maximize efficiency Carry out regular compliance checks on the use of Donseed system byCarry out other reasonable duties as required by your Immediate supervisor or manager
