About the position

The sourcing organization at Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division is divided into several functions and categories, in order to secure quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability throughout the supply chain.
The Sourcing team is dedicated to deliver on our full range of business targets and to provide a profound base for our teams driving these objectives together with over 1000 suppliers and are guided by the principles of Strategic, Collaborative, and Professional.

In this role, you will not only lead a skilled team comprising Cost Engineers and Supplier Development Managers but also drive and take ownership of the total cost out program within sourcing.
You will lead and develop a team, and together with peers drive results within the supply base, measured by improvements on KPI’s for Cost Out & Supplier Development.
Your team will support the total Husqvarna sourcing and you will report to Sourcing Director Powertrain Categories.

Your main tasks:

  • Lead and develop the team and individuals
  • Develop, communicate and deliver on Supplier Development plans
  • Proactively drive, communicate and ensure progress on our Cost Out Program
  • Incorporate Cost Out & Supplier Development in long term sourcing strategies
  • Develop ways of working, routines and processes to secure progress within your responsibilities
  • Plan work and budget operational expenses for the team

This role is located in Huskvarna, offering a hybrid working model with a requirement for weekly office presence.
Occasional travel within service is expected, approximately 10-20 days per year

Who are you?

To succeed in this role we expect you have:

  • Bachelor of Science/Advantage: MBA or Master of Science in Engineering or relevant experience
  • At least 5 years ‘leadership experience
  • Extensive experience from engaging with internal customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Experience from similar position or tasks, within an international and strategic environment
  • Experience and drive for continues improvements
  • Fluent in English orally and in writing

As a person you have excellent leadership skills and a drive for continuous improvement, coupled with the ability to analyze business benefits.
Being goal-oriented, capable of recommending solutions, and implementing strategies are key attributes.
Strong planning abilities and time-efficient decision-making are also crucial.

You also demonstrate a strong understanding of both internal and external customer service, complemented by exceptional communication abilities that encompass strategic thinking, diplomatic finesse, social competence, and negotiation skills.

Personality in combination with relevant education, work experience and passion for working as a leader will be important in order to succeed in this role.
