Positioning Manager, IKEA Retail Services AB

WHY WE WILL LOVE YOUWe are looking for a Manager to champion the ‘Attract’ layer of the New Marketing Model.
You have the drive and experience to lead IKEA’s positioning strategy in Marketing, with a good understanding of segmentation as a means to grow household penetration.
You understand the impact positioning can have on a business, and a strong desire to implement strategies and tools to support our country organisations.
We believe you come with at least minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing, have profound knowledge in positioning, and you are likely to be a Country Marketing Manager or similar today.
You come with a mix of the following knowledge, motivation and capabilities:• Knowledge of creating a unique image for IKEA as a international multichannel retailer in the many peoples mind and establish a significant and differentiated presence in the market that attracts and retains customers.• Knowledge of how to develop an integrated multichannel Marketing & Communication Strategy and Plan that covers positioning, growth and segmentation strategies and how to implement it on an organisational level.• Understanding of what the IKEA brand means and how it should be incorporated in everything IKEA does grounded in experience from similar context.• Appreciate the mix of strategic thinking and turning marketing trends into practice.• Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to manage internal stakeholders in a high-level business environment.WHAT YOU´LL BE DOING ALL DAYIn the role as our new Positioning Manager, you will drive growth by leading the markets in attracting brand new customers through implementing a strong brand position, and applying a segmentation approach to increase penetration.
You will lead a Positioning Specialist and together you will be responsible to develop tools and methods to support countries taking the brand position to all levels throughout the organisation.
Other key assignments will be to:• Together with Communications Department, support countries with delivering a Strong Brand Position (Job no 1).• Support markets to grow penetration, by implementing the Penetration Optimisation Framework.• Provide strategic guidance in the application of the POF as a means of segmentation within the country BPL.• Develop and share best practices and learning content for marketing competence development in the markets together with Market Support Learning Developers.• Provide subject matter support for the country teams, keep them informed on planned deliveries and together with the countries enable communication that drives growth.• Work across functions within INGKA Group and in good collaboration with other IKEA businessesTOGETHER AS A TEAMMarket Support empowers the markets to deliver extraordinary growth, a strong brand positioning and a convenient and inspiring customer meeting, through solutions and support that are customer centric in a new retail era.
