Our research:
The Center was established in 2010 through a generous, unrestricted grant from the Novo
Nordisk Foundation (NNF).
The vision of the Center is to strengthen interdisciplinary research that transforms our basic
understanding of the mechanisms of metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this
knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies.

http://cbmr.ku.dk

In 2018, the Center obtained new strategic funding from NNF including substantial funding
to establish and/or develop five enabling biology and technology platforms in support of
the new research strategy.
The Phenomics Platform is headed by Associate Professor Niels Grarup.

- Strong collaborative skills; ability to share knowledge and expertise, and support to a
  multidisciplinary team.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

- A strong interest in learning more about the life science area, particularly genetics and
  genetic disorders.

Desirable criteria:
- Familiarity with research data and/or GDPR.

- Supercomputing/parallelization and programming.

- Practical experience with R and/or other statistical tools and programming languages.

- Development of web applications (e.g Shiny).

Place of employment:
The place of employment is the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic
Research, Maersk Tower, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international
research environment.
